Independent Director
Mr. Onward Choi has served as Tuniu’s independent director since May 2014. Mr. Choi was the acting chief financial officer of NetEase Inc., a Nasdaq-listed company, from July 2007 to June 2017. Mr. Choi currently serves as the independent director and the chairman of the audit committee of Smart Share Global Limited and Ucloudlink Group Inc., both are Nasdaq-listed companies. Mr. Choi also serves as an independent non-executive director and the chairman/member of the audit committee of Beijing Jingkelong Company Limited (HKEX: 0814), Tongdao Liepin Group (HKEX: 6100) and Infinities Technology International (Cayman) Holding Limited (HKEX: 1961), all of which are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr. Choi is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, CPA Australia, and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Choi received a bachelor’s degree in accountancy with honors from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
